Conference rooms specified as one assembly, not parts
A conference room enclosure isn’t a door plus two side lites plus a transom it’s a single full-height assembly. Linea Motion engineers the partition wall, the glass, the head and jamb joinery, and the door (slider, swing, or pivot) together, so the boardroom reads as one piece of architecture instead of a series of stitched-together components.
Boardroom vs. huddle room
- Boardrooms - large enclosures with privacy glazing or decorative designs, often paired with a slider or pivot to keep the corridor clear. Custom panel sizes available for openings beyond 60″ wide.
- Huddle rooms - small enclosures inside open-plan floors. Standard 1/4″ glass and a single sliding or swing door is usually sufficient.
- Glass-fronted offices - hybrid configurations where a private office faces an open floor through a full-height glass wall.
Acoustics and privacy
Linea Motion's active doors and partition walls provide a secure fit within the opening and standard 1/4" tempered glass. This provides the noise reduction necessary for a board room and aural privacy. For visual privacy, frosted, gradient, and back-painted glass are specified per opening.
Coordinating doors and walls
The most common conference room configuration is a single sliding door inside a full-height glass wall, with hardware that matches the partition extrusions in finish and profile. Swing doors are specified where a slider can’t pocket. Pivot doors are reserved for boardroom-scale openings.
